Ever since I can remember I’ve had a passion for figuring out how things work. This led me to creating
websites when I was 11 years old and eventually to Flash and Unity to make silly little games.
Game development is especially interesting to me, because there's so many moving parts. You can work on
something different every day!
On April 16 2013 I started playing on a Minecraft server called FreeCraft. This changed my life in ways that I can’t even imagine. After playing on the server for a while I started developing custom plugins for the server. Not only did this give me the opportunity to test my creations with a relatively large group of people, it also nurtured my love for game design. Now FreeCraft is more professional than ever. We rebranded to Frenily on January 1, 2023, and with all the experience I've gathered over the years, our development process is better than ever.
From 2014 to 2018 I studied at the Fontys University of Applied Sciences for software engineering and game design. During this time I worked on various projects ranging from websites for an art center to a game that helps children with cerebral palsy recover after a surgery. On September 27, 2022, I made a big change in my life and move to the United Kingdom. Giving up freelance work in the process. The change has forced me to approach work differently, working in a bigger company with a different work culture than I've been used to up to now. The experience has been invaluable and I hope to continue improving further.
